This was enlightening! A Mahasiddha being accused of illicit love affairs is as extreme as it gets, but it is interesting to view the character of Hadipa as a good one and a bad one. What is mroe interesting is that Kanhupa is known to practised all sorts of weird esoteric activities, like eating human meat or one’s own excreta, much like the Aghoris. Doesn’t seem uncertain to me, that he, with his notions of ‘everything is pure’ would think even illicit affairs to be legitimate.
